Silai Small Pouf

Silai celebrates the beauty of the age-old art of handmade embroidery where the time, care and patience needed to make something is reflected. It is a “savoir-faire” that is being lost, because they have less and less time, they use objects that they consume quickly and can be replaced easily.

Woven over a plastic grid, or a “framework”, petit point is simple rapid diagonal stitching. The design includes four types of distinct stitching that combine in different ways create a beautiful harmony of colors and textures.

The result: very lightweight carpets, poufs and pillows, comfortable and with a unique design.
