Since the spring of 2010, Studio Job has created striking backdrops for Viktor&Rolf’s shows. The beautiful backdrop of withered gray flowers for the 2013 fall/winter show in Paris inspired NLXL to collaborate with the Dutch Duo and create a special collection ‘Archives Wallpaper by Studio Job’. The fresh collection reflects a retrospect of the history of Studio Job. Archetypical drawings and universal symbols are combined as iconographic elements for patterns, compositions and embossing, ultimately creating seven designs: Industry, Labyrinth, Perished, Alt Deutsch, l’Afrique and Withered Flowers (in both black and white). Made from a non-woven paper with a mattee finish, each roll is nine metres by 48.7 centimetres.
